| This established urban
church in a redeveloping area of Northeast Denver occupied deteriorating
buildings for many years on this neighborhood corner. The design
program was fit onto the site with no property left unused due to
the limitations of the existing parcel. One of the original structures
was incorporated into this completely transformed and enlarged building
with facilites for worship, gatherings, dinners and community service.
Each group from the congregation had a voice in the planning of
the church and each set of requirements was carefully woven together
for a well composed and efficient new design. Simple materials and
natural light are the primary architectural elements. Each component
was carefully evaluated for quality and durability and each space
was considered as a potentially inspiring part of the worship and
service experience. |
