As part of a comprehensive plan to improve the pedestrian environment connecting the 16th Street Mall with the Denver Performing Arts Complex on Curtis Street and with the Colorado Convention Center on California Street the Downtown Denver Partnership urban design studio directed by David Wise planned and designed the new parking lot screens and the pedestrian light.   The screen and light have now become standard for Downtown Denver and are used extensively as the center city continues to be revitalized.
