This project is the result of combining two units by removing a common wall and gutting the smaller unit. The gutted space was converted to a guest suite including a sleeping area, bathroom, wet bar and sitting area with a new gas fireplace. A faceted wall with slender open slots borrows natural light into the bedroom as does the transparent ceiling above the guest bath. New construction was carefully adapted to existing utilities. Tempered glass shelves, custom steel cabinets and cherry woodwork are incorporated into the interior design.
